Welcome to Jigsaw Trading’s Video Resource Library!

Thanks for signing up for our free video course. Take your time to go through the videos and absorb the information. Don’t cram it all into one weekend because we humans simply don’t retain information if we try to learn too much at once. One a day is fine, unless you are super-human.

Primer Video – Order Flow – Keeping it Simple, Practical & Effective – (1hr 30 mins)

This video is the cornerstone for the future of your trading. We first discuss the benefits of Order Flow in respect to the additional level of information Order Flow provides that isn’t visible on a price chart. We then look at how to apply this information in real time by going through a number of examples. You’ll see there are a number of aspects to using order flow or to put it another way – a lot of things you can do with order flow. Don’t try to do them all at once, we are trying to give a broad overview of techniques you adopt over time. The key is to focus on adding one thing at a time to your trading, benefiting from that before adding something else.
Becoming a profitable trader is not the end of your journey. It’s just the beginning, there is so much you can do over time to ensure you maximize your edge.
It’s not a single magic bullet, it’s an entire trading armory!
Note that this video is from 2015 and it is still every bit as relevant today as it was then. We’ve thought about re-recording it but couldn’t really find anything to add but obviously the Jigsaw Tools have moved on a lot since then!

Primer Video 2 – What is the DOM? What is it useful? What do the numbers mean? – (1hr 30 mins)

This video is from John Grady, a professional trader that uses the Jigsaw tools. In this video he introduces the Depth of Market (DOM) aka the Price Ladder. Many traders first look at the DOM and get scared away by all the numbers. There’s a presumption you need to do math while you are trading to use it. It couldn’t be further from the truth. In face, the DOM is a very visual tool. It’s a bit like crossing the road & watching 2 streams of traffic on the 2 sides of the road. You can see when traffic is clear, when it’s crowded and when it’s safe to cross. A very visual tool. If you can cross the road, then you might just find you can read the DOM too!

Training Video #1 – Identifying Reversals & Breakouts – 23 mins

You could look at a thousand days on the chart and not realize that reversals and breakouts are all about a few simple things:
1 – Where other traders are positioned, 2 – Where other traders just made/lost money, 3 – Where other traders stop loss orders are.
There is a push-pause cycle during a trend with opportunities to enter the market at various stages in the cycle. In this video, we give an overview of the cycle and how to work with it as a trader. This one is a real eye-opener for chart-only traders but also for newer Order Flow traders that didn’t graduate to using the Volume Profile yet.

Training Video #2 – Violent Moves (Exhaustion) – 7 Mins

The previous video dealt with more orderly market conditions. In this video, we look at opportunities that occur in more violent market conditions. In this case, a volume blow-off. A time when the market runs violently to one side, lots of people jump on board and then it suddenly moves in the opposite direction. We’ve all been on the wrong side of a move like this. First missing out on a new move, then seeing the market go supersonic, then feeling it’s leaving us behind… so we join the move and it immediately reverses on us. This video shows you ways to get on the right side of these moves, instead of getting caught out by them.

Training Video #3 – Using Charts & Order Flow Together – 22 mins

In this video, we look at using Order Flow alongside other techniques such as measured moves and correlated markets. We show 2 trades, one a “pre-breakout” trade and the other a more traditional pullback trade. In the commentary, we discuss why the trades were taken and the management of the trades. This is a great example to take you through the decision making process as it occurs in real time.

Training Video #5 – Maybe it’s Time to Exit – 5 mins

Trading isn’t all about getting into the market. You not only have to make money trading, you have to keep it too! So it’s smart to take your profits when the market is telling you it’s not going to move any more. In this video from Axia Futures (A London based proprietary trading firm), we take a look at ‘absorption’ occurring when a market should break to the upside. It’s fairly easy to spot too – just watch how much volume trades at that one price!
